A Date Night..

Hey All,

Today I just thought of showing you a few glimpses of my life in Andamans. As most of you already know I live with my hubby and my 2 yr old baby daughter on an island in Andaman and Nicobar. My place is about 6 hrs drive away from Port Blair, which is the capital city.

We visit Port Blair often, with a frequency of about once in a month or so. It had been a while since I last visited Port Blair and thus this time I decided to accompany my husband on the trip.

It was a short and sweet trip of 2 days. And we all three loved it. After a long time we had 'our' moments. We took our little Tiya to a small zoo in Port Blair and there we spotted python, crocodile, turtles among the many animals and birds that we saw there.

Together even in a cage!

Later in the day, we went to Chiditapu, a place that is famous for its breath taking sun set view. Tiya had an awesome time there. She always enjoys sea sights.

And evening time was 'US' time. Sadly, my camera didnt work properly as I forgot to carry the camera charger with me. So, excuse me for the poor quality of the pictures.

One evening we went to the most famous restaurant in Port Blair which has gathered its name for its delicious delicacies. And I must say the food was indeed yummy. Enjoy the pictures of honey coated fried potatoes and Andaman Prawn curry.

Next evening was 'ME' time... ha ha ha. We went to a place called The Bay Island which has a serene view of the sea side at its roof top. Sanjay sitting next to me, Tiya grooving to the peppy music that was being played, cool breeze blowing right onto my face and hair and the calm sea on the other side - I couldnt have asked for more.

There I ordered a mild cocktail called something called 'screwdriver'. It was a little vodka mixed with orange juice. I gulped it all with some fish fingers! :D

They say happiness doubles on sharing and probably this is the reason I am sharing it with you, my online friends. Life takes a different turn when you get a loving partner.

My hubby is a teetotaller. Forget eggs, he does not even eat biscuits or cakes that contain eggs. He is delighted to see the ads of Mongini cakes on TV because they are eggless! But he never stops me from trying anything. Infact when I feel a little bad for eating non-veg right in front of him, on the same table, he brings me at ease saying that we both will eat the food we enjoy the most!

Thats 'US'
And the fun part is that whenever I eat non-veg, he doesnt let Tiya to take a bite from my plate. He wants his daughter to be vegetarian, pure vegetarian like him.

Dim Lights, Dying Camera Battery, Poor Quality but I still love this pic

I hope, really hope, I could give up my temptations for non-veg for him. I had given up. For two years after my marriage, I did not even eat eggs but then slowly he became less rigid and I grew more interesting in trying fish of Andamans. I hope I am able to give it up when I move to Delhi next year.

A good relationship means doing things for others in a way that you feel you are doing them for your self! Isnt it?
