My Meeting With the Very Inspiring and Gorgeous Gul Panag

Hi All,

I am so glad to share a very exciting news with you. This weekend, I met the very bold, beautiful and bubbly Gul Panag! :)

As you all know, I live in Andamans and I also run a blog on Andamans - Know Andamans. Also, I am on Twitter. So, on Twitter when I got to know that Gul is traveling to Andamans and she is looking for some tips on hotels etc, I promptly replied to her. She was kind and quick to reply back to me and thus a conversation followed which got followed by emails, phone calls and finally a meeting in Andamans. 

So, now you guys have another reason to follow me on Twitter :D 

Well, so I met Gul and her handsome, amiable husband on Thursday evening and we had a gala time. We had planned a meeting on tea but when we met, I, my friend Sakshi and Gul and her husband and yeah, my tiny Pahal, got so engrossed in our conversations that we had 3 hrs of drinking session followed by a elaborate dinner. 

Meeting with Gul Panag has been the best thing to happen to me in sometime. The icing on the cake was that she and her husband, who is a thorough gentleman and a very soft spoken person, made us feel comfortable instantly and it did not seem like we were meeting them for the first time. 

Both of them are so grounded, totally in love with each other and complement each other so perfectly. 

I goaded Gul for some beauty and health fitness tips and she opened up. She was so open about almost everything and it felt I had found a confidante and a friend in her.  

The best thing that I liked about her as an individual is that she is so simple and natural. She is not only breathtakingly beautiful with her dimpled smile but she does not have even an inch of air or pretense around her. 

When I look at her and her husband, the first thing that came to my mind is that both of them are so complimenting to each other! Not only they look fiercely good together, they seem so much in love with each other that when I was with them, I so wished Sanjay was there too! I had started missing him. 

Such is the effect of love. It spreads very fast. 

I am going to do a separate post all together on the lessons I learnt from them as a couple. I did learn some valuable lessons from them and have resolved to inculcate them in my married life as well. 

During our meeting, when I asked Gul about how she met her husband, she started speaking like a young teenage girl who has just got her first crush on the most handsome boy of her class. 

Gladly, she recollected every small detail of her courtship and each time she spoke about her meetings with her husband in the past, her eyes gleamed with a twinkle. The two are crazily in love with each other, you just need a glance at them to figure this out. 

GIfting the painting to Gul Panag

I also gifted them a painting hand made by a painter in Mayabunder, Andaman which both of them loved. I was touched to see that they were actually taking the pains to keep the painting in upright position and on a separate chair so as to avoid any kind of damage of spilling on the painting. 

Both of them were delighted to see the paintings. And yes, Gul was kind and friendly enough to get me a gift too! She got me a pack of two books - City of Djinn and The White Tiger! 

These two books are special to me and I would do a review of these books of them as and when I finish reading them. Have you read any of these?
