Hair masks become absolutely necessary for maintaining healthy hair especially during winters. Hair masks help in sealing the lost moisture of the hair and also provide them with required nutrients. Banana hair mask works exceptionally well on dry and dull hair.
Ripe bananas are rich in anti oxidants and potassium and other important nutrients. Bananas are known for their property of imparting glow and shine to things they are rubbed on. Plus, they are also good moisture locking agents. When combined with honey and curd, the banana doubles up its benefits and acts as a great hair mask.
Honey is not only anti bacterial in nature but also a great moisturising agent. It imparts smoothness to hair and tackles the frizz and dullness of hair.
Curd is also great when it comes to moisturizing and taming the dull hair. Curd is loaded with anti oxidants and Vit. C and thus gives good shine to otherwise dull hair. Honey and curd together work as a fine conditioner for hair.
Adding a bit of coconut oil takes care of any dryness left in the hair and thus leaves the hair manageable.

2 tbsp curd
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp coconut oil (this is optional; add if you have dry hair)

Below you can see the before-after pictures of using this hair mask. I absolutely LOVE this hair mask. It makes my hair look very beautiful, shining and salon like. Plus, I know I am not exposing my hair to any harmful and harsh chemicals.
The effect of the hair mask stays upto 2 days. You can conveniently use this mask once a week to maintain the health of the hair.
The only thing to keep a note of while making this mask is that you need to properly mash the mix and strain it. Even after using the blender, some tiny pieces of banana remain in the mask mix. These small, tiny pieces get stuck in the hair and become very difficult to be removed. But if you strain the mix properly, you get a clear paste like I did and in that case there is no problem in applying the mask on hair and using it. The best part is this mask acts as a good face mask too! Just make sure you aren’t acne prone because in that case curd can cause break outs.
I adore this DIY recipe and will suggest you all to try it out at least once. Because I am sure if you use it once, you will keep using it. All the best!

Doesn’t honey whitens the hair? I always heard so.
I don’t think so. However, lemon whitens the hair as lemon is a strong bleaching agent. And I have tested it. Each time I use lemon on my hair, I get a white strand or two.
Wow,,, can’t wait to try,,,
Did u shampoo your Hair or,just rinse with water??
I normally use less shampoo. In this case also, I used glycerin soap as a shampoo but if you usually use shampoo, wash your hair with a normal shampoo.
By curd do you mean cheese curd? Like cottage cheese? That’s what it looks like. Thank you!
By curd I mean normal curd that we make from milk. I don’t have much idea about cheese curd. But what I mentioned here is NOT cottage cheese. It is plain curd.
She means plain yogurt
Where do you get the curd
Should this mixture be applied to dry hair or damp hair?
Dry hair.
