In our sweet, little manner we kind of spent Valentine Day. It started with the usual morning with happy V-day greetings followed by four roses that Mr. Thinker plucked from somewhere for me :) Sad, in Diglipur we do not have a single florist. Sigh! But good that this gives the husbands a run for roses. I really love it when he himself puts efforts into something for me and that just doubles up my joys!
So, I got the flowers and he got the strawberry shake that I made for him. It was Tuesday yesterday and my man has been fasting on Tuesdays since decades. Keeping this in mind, I decided to make a dessert for him for supper.
I looked on internet for something delicious yet easy to make and found apple pudding. I added few steps and flavours of my own to it and this is how it finally came out.
Doing things at a place where even the common things like butter, pasta, chocolates, flavors, Custard powder etc are not conveniently available, increases my excitement for cooking and the tastes by manifolds.
The same day I tried my hands at another dessert called Walnut Chocolate Kheer. Here is the pic.
We do not get Walnuts in Diglipur so imagine my plight in making this kheer. But alls well that ends well. And Mr. Thinker's compliments that start from the first bite to the last are worth every effort I put in making these recipes.
Also, we successfully finished our Challenge of compliments and it was a marvellous experience. We have decided to make it a routine habit. :) I would love to hear from you about your V-day celebrations.
